Leadership

Andy Kennedy comes to HPBC with more than 30 years of experience winning the lost to Christ, making disciples and developing believers into church leaders. His desire is to lead others to Christ and actively engage the lost world with the truth of God’s Word. He has direct ministry experience as a Pastor, a missionary of the International Mission Board, SBC, and, as a professor in academic settings. Andy has a PhD in Theology from the Evangelische Teologische Faculteit in Belgium and two Masters degrees from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.  He speaks three foreign languages, German, Portuguese, and Spanish. Andy married Cynthia Ann Kennedy in 1987. Cindy has a master’s degree in religious education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. She is Andy’s ministry partner with experience in ministry with Women, Youth, and Children. They have four adult children, who continue to follow and serve the Lord. Bethany, Leah, Allison, and James. They have a first grandchild born July 31, 2024. Andy’s interests include flying airplanes, playing guitar, traveling to new places, and spending time with family.
